Tracking macros & sub-IDs
Theory Rd. uses one macro syntax — {curly} — and five sub-ID slots for channel, campaign, ad set, ad, and placement.
Theory Rd. standardizes on {curly} macros. Your offer destination URL can include any of these — they are substituted at redirect time:
- {click_id} — the unique click id (also {tid})
- {sub1}–{sub5} — your passthrough slots
- {gclid}, {fbclid}, {ttclid}, {msclkid} — ad-platform click ids
The sub-ID standard
- sub1 — channel (facebook, google, tiktok, email…)
- sub2 — campaign id
- sub3 — ad set / ad group id
- sub4 — ad / creative id
- sub5 — placement / publisher / audience
